I have a plumbing emergency, what should I do?

What do you do when a plumbing emergency arises? The very first thing is to ensure it's safe, and hopefully not getting even worse. Electricity and water do not combine safely, so if you need to, turn the mains switch off at the power panel.

Once that is done, give us a call, whatever the day or time is. We will be with you rapidly to get things sorted.

While waiting for our emergency plumber to arrive, remove any significant items, wipe up any water, and put a container to catch any drips. You should also turn off the hot water heating if the main water is turned off.

Help, I don’t know where the main water shutoff valve is!
